NLE Daily is a board exam practice service for Filipino nursing graduates preparing for the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination, available at nledaily.com and in the NLE Daily apps. We are the personal information controller for the data described here, as defined by the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

2. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the app and help you prepare for the board exam.

• Account details: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password, or the ID we receive if you sign in with Google or Facebook.
• Review profile: your target board date, school, daily study hours, and work shift schedule.
• Study activity: your answers, scores, time per item, confidence taps (Sure, Unsure, Guess), flags, reminders, notes, highlights and drawings.
• Files you upload: PDFs you turn into question sets, and the text we extract from them.
• Battle Mode: your display name, avatar, scores and rank in battles you join or host.
• Payments: confirmation of your purchase, plan, amount and the last four digits of a card. Payments are processed by GCash, Google Pay, Apple Pay and our card processor (Visa and Mastercard). We never see or store your full card number, CVV or e-wallet PIN.
• Device and usage data: device model, operating system, app version, crash reports, and approximate location based on your IP address.

3. How we use your information

• To create your account and keep your progress saved and synced across devices.
• To calculate your readiness score, map your weak spots and build and rebalance your study plan.
• To turn your uploaded PDFs into practice questions and rationales.
• To send study reminders, review queue alerts and battle invites you have turned on.
• To process payments, refunds and receipts.
• To keep the app secure, prevent fraud and enforce fair play in Battle Mode.
• To improve our questions and features using aggregated or de-identified data.
• To send you tips and offers by email, only if you agree. You can unsubscribe anytime.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal information based on your consent, to fulfill our contract with you when you use the app or buy a plan, to comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting rules, and for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and improving it, in a way that does not override your rights.

5. AI processing of your uploads

When you upload a PDF, its contents are sent to our AI service providers to extract text and generate questions. Your uploads and generated question sets are private to your account unless you choose to share them. Under our agreements, our providers may not use your uploads to train their own models. Please do not upload documents that contain patient names, hospital records or any other confidential health information.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information.

• Service providers who host our servers, send emails and notifications, process payments, analyze app performance and power AI features, under contracts that require them to protect your data.

• Government authorities, when required by law, court order or a lawful request.
• A buyer or successor, if our business is merged or sold, with this policy continuing to apply.

7. International transfers

Some of our service providers store data outside the Philippines. When that happens, we use contracts and safeguards that give your information the level of protection required by the Data Privacy Act.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep longer under Philippine tax and accounting laws, such as payment receipts.

9. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Be informed about how your data is processed.
• Access a copy of your personal information.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Object to processing, or withdraw your consent.
• Have your data erased or blocked.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Claim damages for any violation of your data privacy rights.
• File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

10. How we protect it

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, so we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission of any personal data breach as the law requires.

11. Age requirement

NLE Daily is meant for users who are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you may only use the app with the consent of a parent or guardian.

12. Cookies
